Anya Lahiri (born 1 May 1982 in Golders Green, London, United Kingdom) is a British actress, model and singer of Indian and Finnish origin.

Anya attended the Henrietta Barnett School in Hampstead Garden Suburb, where she excelled in languages and music. She has been playing the flute and the piano since a young age. She is a talented horsewoman.
She started her professional career modelling when she was sixteen, after which she was chosen to be part of the girl group Precious. The band was chosen by British viewers to represent the UK in the 1999 Eurovision Song Contest with their first single Say It Again, and arrived 12th. After that they released their first album, called 'Precious' with smash hits singles as 'Rewind' and 'It's Gonna Be My Way'. They worked with ex Take that member and producer Gary Barlow. In November 2000 they released their last single called "New Beginning" with a video clip set in an industrial warehouse with the girlband acting like tough girls. By the end of 2000, the group went under scrunity and the girls decided it was time to stop. All the members started a new beginning. Anya returned to her education, attending Birkbeck, University of London, while continuing to model part-time.
During the last five years, as a student, Anya has modelled for a range of brands, including Asda and Asos. She has also been the cover-girl for magazines such as Company and More. In 2003, she was one of the FHM PitGirls.
In 2004, she started a new career as an actress, appearing in the movie Tornado with Daniel Bernhardt, and in The Grooming with Jacqueline Bisset.
She finished her successful studies in humanities in 2005.
In 2006 she was in Los Angeles doing auditions, and also became the face of the Anna Beth's jewels new collection. She is currently filming a new movie called I Can't Think Straight, in which she plays Lamia. The movie is about the love between an Indian Muslim girl, Leyla and a Palestinian girl, Tala.
In 2008, she will be on the screens in 3 movies "Daylight Robbery", the famous and expected "Goal! 3: Taking on the World" and the horror movie "Pearblossom".
In 2009, she posed for the night dress company Poule de Luxe.
In early 2001, she went out with former Blue member Duncan James for 3 months and returned with her long term boyfriend, who owns a furniture design shop in North London. They went out together, on and off, for seven years. In August 2003, Duncan wrote the song "Guilty" in which he confessed his love for Anya, then they got back together. In 2004 rumours were going on about their engagement but both denied it. They broke up in June 2004. In a 2003 interview she said about her long term boyfriend Rowen, with whom she stayed for 7 years and who owns a furniture shop in London : "No matter how often we break up, we always end up back together, lIfe's kinda funny like that"
